Demand for fresh produce is rising as more homeowners desire to grow their own fresh vegetables and others are looking for ways to profit from fresh produce. Growing produce in shipping containers has been determined to be profitable.  The Washington Post reported that fresh local produce grown in this fashion is being sold during bitter cold winters.
